About

Rev. Dr.
Adara Walton

Ordained Reverend · Naturopathic Doctor
Doctor of Philosophy · Reiki Master Teacher
Shamanic Practitioner

"Spirit is not something you believe in abstractly — it is something you encounter, in song, in testimony, in the laying on of hands."

Rev. Dr. Adara Walton was born and raised in the church, in the South, in a family where the Spirit was not something you believed in abstractly — it was something you encountered weekly, in song, in testimony, in the laying on of hands. That encounter shaped everything.

Over decades of study, practice, and her own deep inner work, Adara has woven together wisdom from natural health, metaphysical sciences, energy healing, and shamanic tradition. The result is a way of working with people that is both rigorously grounded and genuinely open — able to meet people of many traditions, or none, in the language of their own deepest experience.

She has served as a hospital chaplain, a parish minister, a grief counselor, and a university lecturer in spiritual formation. She has accompanied hundreds of individuals and dozens of communities through spiritual crises, awakenings, losses, and transformations.

Today, Adara offers her work through private sessions, sacred circles, ceremony, and teaching — always with the conviction that healing is not a product to be delivered but a relationship to be entered.

She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she tends a small garden, keeps an ancestor altar, and is learning, slowly, to rest.

Core Beliefs

The principles that guide every session, every ceremony, every word.

Every Person Is Already Whole

My work does not fix or rescue. It accompanies. I believe that the wisdom, the healing, and the way forward already live within you — my role is to create the space and conditions for you to access them.

Spirituality Is Embodied

True spiritual practice is not separate from the body, the earth, the community, or the daily rhythms of life. I work to bring spiritual practice back into the body and into the world.

Ancestors Are Present

We do not come to our healing alone. Our ancestors — biological and chosen — are available to us as resource, wisdom, and love. Ancestor connection is central to how I practice and how I teach.

All Paths Lead to Love

I hold profound reverence for all pathways to the sacred — drawing from natural health, metaphysical sciences, energy healing, and shamanic tradition. I welcome people of all backgrounds and beliefs, and of none.
